Spurs fans were treated to the news that the club have reportedly made an offer for Fenerbache striker Vedat Muriqi ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Turkish journalist Feridun Nigdelioglu (via Ricky Sacks), Spurs have already made an offer for the Kosovan striker in the hope of signing him next month. The 25-year-old has been in impressive form for the Turkish side so far this season; with 11 goals in 16 appearances for Fenerbache.
Muriqi was also a big part of Kosovo’s impressive European qualifying form; hitting four goals in six games in that competition. The striker is perhaps thought to be the ideal back-up to Harry Kane and would offer an aerial threat from the bench for Jose Mourinho’s side should they agree a deal in January.
Would Muriqi be a good signing for Spurs?

He puts himself about a lot, never stops battling for the team and is quite a handful. Would be decent back up to kane and wouldnt expect a starting role.

Proved himself against England this summer. Plenty of fight and talent there.

These Spurs fans are seemingly split on the potential signing of Muriqi, with some comparing the striker to former Spurs man Vincent Janssen, who enjoyed a less than successful spell at the club.
What do we think?
Spurs are clearly in the market for a back-up to Kane and Muqiqi, who is currently valued around £7.2 million, could be the ideal option for Mourinho in January. The 25-year-old is clearly a goalscorer in Turkey, but it is impossible to predict whether he could make his mark in the Premier League.
