Spurs fans were less than impressed with Lucas Moura’s performance in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Norwich at the weekend.
Moura has been impressive at times since the appointment of Jose Mourinho in November but struggled to perform at Carrow Road on Saturday; earning a disappointing 6.57 rating. The Brazilian was a half time substitute for Jan Vertonghen but failed to have the desired effect for Mourinho’s side, as Harry Kane’s late penalty rescued a point against the team currently bottom of the Premier League.
Moura, who signed for Spurs from PSG in 2018, has struggled to ever really force his way into the first-team at the North London club and was often left on the bench under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, with the 27-year-old making just his 83rd appearance for the Lilywhites in Saturday’s game. Although the winger has been more of a regular under Mourinho, his performances have remained inconsistent, with one-off performances against Wolves and Burnley the standouts in what has been overall a poor few weeks for the former Sao Paulo man.
Is Moura Spurs' most inconsistent player?

And yet I’m still seeing the tired old line that we lost the Champions’ League final because he didn’t start!

Sometimes you can try too hard to make an impact & lose sight of keep it simple.

These Spurs fans were clearly not impressed with Moura’s performance against Norwich and will be hoping to see a better display from the Brazilian against Southampton on New Year’s Day.
What do we think?
Moura is a frustrating player for Spurs as he can look like a world-beater, for example the game away at Ajax last season, or he can look really poor as fans seem to think he did against Norwich. If the 27-year-old can become more consistent then there is no reason why the £36 million rated man can’t become a really important player for Mourinho.
