Spurs fans were full of praise for Brazilian winger Lucas Moura after his stunning goal in the weekend win over Wolves.
Moura opened the scoring at Molineux with a thunderous strike which whistled past home goalkeeper Rui Patricio and fans were quick to praise the 27-year-old after the club posted a video of the goal on Twitter. Moura, who joined Spurs from PSG in 2018, has been one of several players who’s form has drastically improved under Jose Mourinho.
The winger now has three goals and an assist in Mourinho’s first seven games at the club and is finding success on the right-wing, rather than the centre-forward position he was deployed at on many occasions under Mauricio Pochettino. Another strong performance against Wolves suggests that Moura could well be an extremely important player for Mourinho as his new side look to get back into the Champions League qualification places.

Such a boss for not going to the ground in hopes of a penalty

Is it just me that respects how Lucas stays on his feet and attempts a shot rather than going to ground or trying to anticipate contact. I feel like our boys can learn from this…

One fan even described the goal as Jermain Defoe-like, which is a big compliment as the English managed to 143 goals in 361 appearances at the North London club.
Very Defoe-like that goal!

Spurs fans clearly enjoyed Moura’s strike on Sunday and will be hoping that the 27-year-old can continue his strong run of recent form.
What do we think?
Moura looks a far more confident player under Mourinho and has clearly benefited from his first month in charge of the North London club. The Brazilian had clearly fallen out with former manager Pochettino following his place on the bench for the Champions League final but now looks to be back to his best under the new boss at Spurs.
