Following a post from Alasdair Gold discussing some of the problems facing Jose Mourinho at Spurs, it seems as if lots of fans feel as if Lucas Moura is not good enough.
Gold’s article discusses the form of Moura in detail with the 27-year-old having been criticised for his poor performance against Manchester United on Wednesday night. The Brazilian signed for Spurs from PSG in January 2018 and has gone on to make 77 appearances for the North London club; scoring 17 times.
Moura was often underused by former manager Mauricio Pochettino and seemingly fell out with the Argentinian after he dropped him for the Champions League final despite his all-important hattrick in the semi-final second leg against Ajax. Now that Mourinho is in charge it seems that Moura will have a more prominent squad role; with the 27-year-old having started three of Mourinho’s four games in charge thus far.
Should Lucas Moura start against Burnley on Saturday?
Yes
No
However, a poor performance against United has once again left Spurs fans questioning whether the former Sao Paulo man is good enough, as can be seen in the tweets below.
Moura isn’t good enough to start.

Good read Alasdair,
moura’s stats are a worry, He’s gotta start contributing more.
Jose’s got to start getting ndombele & lo celso into the starting 11.
The back 4 is a real worry atm.
Hopefully we’ll see a few youngsters given a chance in the last champ. Lge game?— Tony Hobbs (@TonyHob29) December 5, 2019
I’m just heartbroken that the chairman allowed to drag a squad that was once (Not so long ago) the envy of many and is now so full of holes, it’s easier to count players we want to keep than let go

Lucas Moura not good enough, play Lo Celso on right where he’s played for Argentina. Foyth in defensive midfield. Mourinho doesn’t rate Sanchez passed up chance to sign him as Man Utd manager signed lindelof instead

You nailed them all as always. The only thing I can think of is the question if if/when to pivot to a rebuilding focus. I think after the January transfer window settles things, there is a likelihood just damns the table and starts rebuilding w Parrot, Foyth, Skipp, etc.

Great article. Hoping Jose makes changes for Saturday.

Spurs fans were clearly less than impressed with Moura’s performance at Old Trafford and seem to want Mourinho to drop the 27-year-old winger ahead of Saturday’s game against Burnley.
What do we think?
Moura is a frustrating player for Spurs and seems too inconsistent to regularly merit a place in Mourinho’s starting eleven. The Brazilian has averaged a disappointing 6.66 rating so far this season so it would not be a surprise to see him benched after yet another disappointing performance.
