Spurs fans were delighted to see Ryan Sessegnon mark his first start for the club with a well-taken goal in the 3-1 defeat against Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening.
The 19-year-old was handed his first start for Spurs by Jose Mourinho and equalised for the North London club by firing past Manuel Neuer at his near post in the first half. He was one of the few bright sparks in what was a disappointing evening overall for Mourinho’s side but has certainly given the Portuguese boss a selection headache after his strong performance at the Allianz Arena.
Sessegnon signed for Spurs from Fulham in the summer for £25 million having burst onto the scene with his PFA award-winning season in the Championship with Fulham in 2017/18. Unfortunately for the young winger, injury kept him out of much of the early season under Mauricio Pochettino, but he now looks to be getting his chance under the new management team.

These Spurs fans clearly enjoyed Sessegnon’s performance against Bayern Munich and were delighted to see the youngster score on his first start for the club.
What do we think?
Sessegnon is one of few players who can take pride in his performance against Bayern and certainly showed that he is capable of being a threat in this Spurs attack. It will be interesting to see whether Mourinho sticks with the 19-year-old in this weekend’s game against Wolves and how often the former Fulham man can feature this season.
