Spurs fans were full of praise for Brazilian winger Lucas Moura after his goal-scoring performance in the 5-0 win over Burnley on Saturday.
Moura, who signed from PSG in January 2018, scored his fourth goal of the season in the weekend win and earned an 8.53 rating for his performance against Sean Dyche’s side. It was a relief to see a strong performance from the 27-year-old winger after his disappointing display against Manchester United in midweek, with the former Sao Paulo man looking to be back to his best under Jose Mourinho.
The Brazilian seemingly fell out with former manager Mauricio Pochettino after he was dropped for the Champions League final in May, despite him having hit the all-important hat-trick in the semi-final triumph against Ajax. It was Moura’s 20th goal in a Spurs shirt in what was his 78th appearance for the club and the 27-year-old will certainly be hoping to improve his goal ratio under Mourinho’s management.
Does Lucas Moura deserve to start for Spurs?

These Spurs fans clearly enjoyed Moura’s performance at the weekend and will be hoping to see similar strong displays from the £36 million-rated man throughout the festive period.
What do we think?
Moura looks a different player to the one we saw under Pochettino; with the 27-year-old having made three goal contributions in Mourinho’s first five games in charge compared to none in the previous five.
If the Portuguese manager can continue to get the best out of the likes of Moura, Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son then Spurs look to have a great chance at a top-four finish.
