Spurs fans were delighted to hear this week that young goalkeeper Brandon Austin has signed a new contract with the club.
The club announced on Tuesday evening that the 20-year-old goalkeeper had signed a new contract until 2022. Austin is yet to make his senior debut for Spurs but has been on the first-team bench on five occasions so far this season following the respective injuries to Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm.
The young-goalkeeper, who is a product of the club’s youth academy, has already earned call-ups for England at U’20 and U’21 level and could perhaps be in line for a senior debut in the near future, with Paulo Gazzaniga currently the only fit senior goalkeeper at the club.

These Spurs fans were clearly delighted to hear that Austin has signed a new long-term contract with the club and will be hoping to see him make his first appearance under Jose Mourinho in the near future.
What do we think?
Austin looks to be a talented goalkeeper and is clearly well-rated by Mourinho and his coaching staff. With the busy festive period approaching, the Portuguese manager may well turn to the youngster to play in cup ties in order to give Gazzaniga a rest.
