Many Spurs fans were less than impressed to hear that the club are weighing up a move for PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa, with the Frenchman out of contract at the end of the season.
According to Foot Mercato, Spurs have opened talks with the 27-year-old, with the hopes of bringing him in on a free transfer ahead of next season. The PSG man has struggled for game time so far this season, often benched in the place of Juan Bernat, having made just 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Kurzawa has made 112 appearances for the French champions since joining from AS Monaco in 2015 but now looks to be surplus to requirements in Thomas Tuchel’s side. The left-back is currently valued at £13.5 million by transfermarkt, which suggests that if Spurs are able to sign the 27-year-old on a free transfer, then they will have got a great deal.
Would Kurzawa be a good signing for Leeds?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to the reported news on Kurzawa can be seen in the tweets below.
The french Danny Rose. Sounds more like a Levy-deal than a Mourinho-deal….. I’m scared.

These Spurs fans are clearly not keen on the idea of signing Kurzawa and will be hoping that Mourinho looks elsewhere for a new left-back.
What do we think?
Left-back is a position in which Spurs desperately need to strengthen, with Danny Rose deemed not good enough and Ben Davies struggling with injury, so Kurzawa could be a decent option for Mourinho. The 27-year-old has struggled in his limited games in Ligue 1 so far this season; averaging just a 6.64 rating, but perhaps a change of club is just what the former Monaco man needs.
