Spurs have reportedly made an offer for Marseille winger Isaac Lihadji, with the 17-year-old out of contract in the summer.

According to Fussball transfers (via Football.London), Spurs are one of several European sides to approach the Frenchman, in the hopes of securing his services on a free transfer at the end of the season. The youngster has already made two appearances for Marseille in the league this season and they are apparently desperate to keep hold of the winger.

Spurs will face competition from the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Barcelona and Lille for Lihadji but have acted quickly in offering the youngster a contract. With his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, Spurs and other foreign clubs are free to approach him in January on a pre-contract deal.

TIF Tactics:

As Lihadji is just 17-years-old, it is difficult to see him featuring in Spurs’ first-team anytime soon, even if the North London club are able to convince the Marseille man to make the move to the Premier League. However, with fellow youngster Troy Parrott having recently made his Premier League debut for Spurs, perhaps Lihadji will be convinced to join Jose Mourinho’s side.

The Frenchman has already appeared 10 times for France u’18 side; scoring four goals in the process and looks to be highly rated across Europe. If Spurs are able to secure him on a free transfer ahead of next season, then Lihadji will join a number of talented youngsters already at the North London club.
