Spurs fans were frustrated to hear that Tanguy Ndombele is set to miss the weekend game at Wolves due to an ongoing hamstring injury problem.
The club confirmed on Friday afternoon that Ndombele would be one of several absentees for the trip to Molineux, although fellow midfielder Harry Winks is expected to return to action. Since joining in the summer in what was a club-record deal, the French midfielder has struggled for a consistent run of games and looks set to continue his spell on the sidelines under Jose Mourinho.
The 22-year-old has been criticised by fans and pundits for his perceived lack of stamina, with Ndombele himself admitting that he had to be withdrawn during the game with Sheffield United due to fatigue. The former Lyon man has impressed in Spurs’ Champions League games; averaging a 7.46 rating, but is yet to really make his mark in the Premier League.
Should Ndombele return to the first team when he comes back from injury?

Save Ndombele for Chelsea next week. Wolves will be tough but next week is bigger game and Ndombele can single handily destroy Chelsea and the other big sides

Keep getting this feeling that Ndombele is going to have a very short Spurs career. Hope it works out for him, his fitness levels though are terrible right now.

These Spurs fans were clearly not impressed to hear that Ndombele is still struggling with injury with some comparing the French midfielder’s injury problems to that of former midfielder Moussa Dembele.
What do we think?
Ndombele doesn’t look match fit at all and Mourinho will no doubt have to ease the midfielder back to first-team action when he does return from injury. The £58.5 million rated man will have to work hard if he wants to become a regular starter under Mourinho but has shown glimpses of what Spurs fans can expect in the future.
