Spurs fans continue to speculate about the future of Christian Eriksen after Jose Mourinho’s latest comments on the midfielder.
According to Seb Stafford-Bloor, via (RickySacks), the Portuguese manager discussed the Danish International following the 2-1 win over Brighton on Boxing Day, saying: “I know his future, but I am not going to be the one who speaks about it. My feeling is that he wants to help us, so that’s why when I am in trouble, when I need a player of his qualities, I play him.”
Eriksen joined Spurs from Ajax in 2013 and has gone to establish himself as one of the best creative-midfielders in the Premier League during his six years at the North London club. However, it seems as if the 27-year-old is doing his best to tarnish any relationship with the fans at Spurs, with him looking likely to leave the club on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires, having first established a desire to leave the club during the summer.
Do you think Eriksen will leave in January?
Yes
No

With other words. Eriksen is leaving. If Mourinho knew he stayed he would play him every time. If we one moment put away all whats going on between him and the club the past months he have been a fantastic playmaker over the last 5 years. A world class player. Will miss him

He’s going in January and we should all wish him well and thank him for his service. I will have no hard feelings whatsoever towards Eriksen.

Leaving in january by the sounds of it. Hopefully with an agreement of someone else coming in. Wouldn’t Bale be great

These Spurs fans have clearly interpreted Mourinho’s comments as Eriksen leaving either in January or in the summer, with the majority wishing the 27-year-old the best after his spell at the club.
What do we think?
Mourinho is speaking very highly of Eriksen, perhaps to try and increase interest in the attacking-midfielder during the January transfer window. Spurs will be desperate to receive some money for the £81 million rated man, rather than seeing him leave for nothing at the end of the season.
