Spurs fans were delighted to hear that following the 2-1 win over Wolves on Sunday, many senior players in the squad begged Jose Mourinho to sign Adama Traore.
According to Football Insider (via Ricky Sacks), several members of the Spurs squad approached the Portuguese manager about the possibility of signing Traore, after the 23-year-old’s impressive display at the weekend. The Wolves man was a threat throughout the game at Molineux and equalised with a stunning strike in the second half for his fourth goal of the season.
He looks to be finally finding his feet with Wolves in the Premier League. His performance against Spurs earned him an 8.5 rating and it’s safe to say he impressed Spurs players and fans with his electric display.

These Spurs fans clearly feel that Traore could be a good signing for them and will be hoping that the players can convince Mourinho to make a move for the 23-year-old.
What do we think?
It is no surprise that the Spurs players are taking a keen interest in Traore after his display at the weekend, but the winger’s current contract runs until 2023 and he is valued at £25.2 million, so you suspect that he would not come cheap. You would imagine that Mourinho will focus on improving Spurs’ defence in January, especially with their depth in attack, but Traore is certainly one to keep an eye on.
