Sheffield United were on the winning side of yet another Premier League fixture this weekend after beating Brighton 1-0. Ollie McBurnie was the goalscorer, playing a crucial role in the win because of his goal.
But the club recognised another player’s contribution. Despite failing to score a goal in 15 appearances for the Blades in the Premier League, David McGoldrick has played a crucial part in his team’s success (transfermarkt.co.uk). Fans agree, and aren’t concerned that the striker hasn’t been able to score yet. They believe he has other things to offer the team.
His goal will come and from that he will be an even better player than he already is. Was tremendous yesterday, some boy

Said it all along we can’t play without him! Got some stick last season at times too!

Great player, proves you don’t need to be prolific to still be top class

Is David McGoldrick crucial to the way Sheffield United play?
Yes
No
Others believe the team are inherently better when he is playing. His win ratio speaks for itself.
Could not care less if he scores – we’re a much better team when he’s playing

Put simply we are a better team with added Didzy! #fact

Runs the whole part of our attacking game, our creative game and presses defences like a mad man. His win ratio speaks for itself. ?

What do we think?
You don’t always need to be a prolific goalscorer to be a top striker. McGoldrick, who is valued at £1.8 million (as per Transfermarkt), has proven that he has much more to offer Chris Wilder’s side than just goals. He will be a vital part of Wilder’s team going forward, regardless of whether he can start scoring or not.
