These Newcastle United fans have reacted to the latest deal involving 16-year-old Queens Park midfielder Reagan Thomson.
Thomson is only 16 years old but has still managed to play seven times for Queens Park’s first-team in the Scottish League Two. It’s unlikely that Newcastle will be issuing the youngster with as many first-team outings, however, he will likely play most of the academy matches which should further his development as a midfielder.
Here’s what the Newcastle United fans had to say about the Reagan Thomson deal:
#NUFC have agreed a deal for top Scottish kid Reagan Thomson from under the noses of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
The Toon will sign the Queens Park midfielder, 16, who has already made the senior side at the famous Glasgow outfit. []— NUFC 360 (@NUFC360) December 16, 2019
I take it that concludes our business for the January window.

Will Reagan Thomson ever play for the first-team?
Yes
No
In an article by The Sun, they state that ‘Newcastle have beat Rangers‘ to signing the 16-year-old, that should put some concerns to bed, knowing that other teams also wanted Thomson.
Well eventually, if he’s any good, he will sold on for a profit as normal. Then the conundrum of where the money goes?

Has no ‘best bits’ on YouTube so can’t be that good

What Do We Think?
This is a very small signing in the grand scheme of transfers these days, but we are sure it’s probably a big deal for Reagan Thomson, who can now aim for Premier League first-team minutes, while also developing in the Newcastle Academy system.
