These Newcastle United fans aren’t keen on signing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, despite the Colombian scoring for fun so far this season.
According to the Daily Star: “The Newcastle boss also likes Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos, the Scottish Premiership’s leading marksman but knows that with Steven Gerrard’s side still in the title race north of the border, the chances of landing the Colombian hothead are remote.” This news was relayed by The Chronicle on their Twitter account.
In 18 Scottish Premiership games this season, Alfredo Morelos has scored 12 goals and has also assisted his teammates on three occasions. However, it’s not just the league that the Colombian can score in, with the 23-year-old getting 14 goals across all his UEFA Europa League games.
Here’s what the Newcastle fans had to say about Morelos on Twitter:
#NUFC are reportedly interested in 28-goal Rangers hitman Alfredo Morelos. https://t.co/9b8mpZZxBp

Is Alfredo Morelos Premier League standard?
Yes
No, he's overrated
Even in the Scottish League Cup Morelos continued his goalscoring riot, in just three matches the Colombian scored two goals and also assisted twice.
Plz no

Nope.

What Do We Think?
We feel that Alfredo Morelos joining Newcastle United would be a great deal for both player and club, however, these Magpies fans clearly don’t agree with us.
This could be down to the feisty reputation he’s been given, although, the 23-year-old hasn’t had a straight red card in the league this season, but has received two-second yellows and four yellow cards in the 18 Scottish Premiership matches he’s played in.
