A lot of Newcastle United fans are heaping praise on Martin Dubravka after another stellar performance in the Toon’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Miguel Almiron will get a lot of the plaudits for scoring his first Newcastle goal.
Who is the better goalkeeper?
Dubravka
Krul
Still, it was the performance of the Slovakian that stood out – as he denied Wilfried Zaha (1:20), Christian Benteke (2:15), and James McArthur (1:50) to keep his fifth clean sheet of the season.
This has led to many Newcastle fans praising Dubravka.

Unbelievable. Has to be one of the best signings we’ve ever made, not joking. For the money we payed for him he has been absolutely incredible.

What do we think?
Since Newcastle signed the Slovakian, initially on loan and then for an undisclosed fee, he has played every single Premier League game and has established himself as a top Premier League goalkeeper.
This season alone, he has already made 68 saves, and that new six-year contract that he signed in October looks better with each passing week.
Dubravka, who is valued at £6.3 million (as per Transfermarkt), was signed from obscurity, and after his stunning debut against Manchester United, he has not looked back.
He can probably look forward to a lengthy stay on Tyneside as Newcastle’s number one because no one else in their team comes close to his ability.
