A lot of Newcastle United fans are annoyed with Danny Mills after he decided to attack Miguel Almiron.
Does Newcastle's squad need to be strengthened?
Yes
No
This has become a common occurrence for the talkSPORT pundit, and this time he decided to name the Paraguayan in his Worst Team of the Season.
Do you agree with Mills?
Yes, he has to produce more end product
No, he helps Newcastle in other ways
This has frustrated many Toon supporters who have not held back in their assessment of Danny Mills.
Danny Mills has yet again gone in on Miguel Almiron.
He's named him in his PL team of worst performers this season.
Yet again, it's time to point out that while Almiron has only got one actual assist – he's been involved in so many goals.#NUFChttps://t.co/HaFkBfUD5g

Danny Mills needs to know that he’s held in the same regard….by #nufc supporters as Stephane Guivarch!

Other Newcastle fans are backing Almiron.
MIGGY is a playmaker and a difference maker. You’re better with him on the pitch than not.

It frustrates me, this argument he’s a flop. Yes, he needs to improve but his arrival changed how Newcastle were able to play last season, which doesn’t get mentioned. He’s much more of a threat on the left IMO, on the right he’s forever cutting back to get the ball on his left

Hes brilliant at tracking back and starting moves, just becasue he hasnt finished any doesnt mean he hasnt been doing a good job.

I will start Almiron nearly every game . He offers us a different dimension, he’s skilful , pacy and a very decent player . Quite frankly don’t give two cahoots what Danny Mills thinks …. up the Toon !!

What do we think?
If you look at just stats, then Almiron has had a poor season – no goals and one assist from 16 games for an attacking player is not exactly great.
However, if you look at the 25-year-old’s involvement in a lot of the goals Newcastle have scored this season, then you can see why he is an important player for them.
Almiron has played a lot of key passes this season and averages 0.7 per match.
Mills and other pundits have targeted Almiron all season, but many Newcastle fans are refusing to turn on him – as they can see that he is a good player.
It also seems that a lot of Newcastle fans have had enough of Mills’ opinions on their club.
Almiron’s wait for a goal goes on, but he is likely to be given the backing by both Steve Bruce and a lot of Newcastle supporters.
