Pep Guardiola has insisted that Manchester City played ‘much better‘ against United than they did in the 3-0 away victory at the Emirates Stadium.
The Cityzen’s suffered a surprise defeat courtesy of their local rivals but in spite of the contrasting results, the boss remains adamant he was more impressed by what he saw from his players during the derby.
What have the supporters made of Guardiola’s post-match comments?
Did City perform better versus United or against Arsenal?
Man Utd

What do we think?
It seems like a strange thing to say on the surface of it but in truth Manchester City cruised to victory over Arsenal without ever really coming out of second gear. City capitalised on some poor Gunners defending and showed a ruthlessness we’ve come to associate with their forward players in recent seasons.
The Cityzen’s performed at a higher intensity during the recent Manchester Derby and faced a much tougher opponent on the day and that will likely be the basis upon which Guardiola’s point has been made. It’s a view that will divide opinion but theres a strong case for both sides of the debate.
