Sergio Aguero has been selected in Alan Shearer’s Premier League team of the decade. The Argentinian has been out injured since the victory over Chelsea back in November but very few will question his inclusion in the former Newcastle United strikers selection.
Shearer is the Premier League’s all-time leading goalscorer, therefore, he knows a good striker when he sees one and it appears the former England man is a huge fan of Aguero.
He labelled him as “one of the best foreign players we’ve ever had” and praised his consistency.
Man City fans took to Twitter to share their praise for Aguero after hearing that he had been selected.

What do we think?
The 31-year-old has scored 173 goals in 251 Premier League appearances since he arrived from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011. He’s been without question one of the most consistent strikers we’ve ever seen on these shores and his goals have helped Manchester City to no fewer than nine major trophies – including four league titles.
His low-centre-of gravity, sharpness and impeccable technique makes him a defender’s worst nightmare and truly one of the Premier Leagues all-time greats.
