Manchester City take on Oxford United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night and the club’s supporters are keen to see Riyad Mahrez given a start.
The Algerian has only made the starting eleven in the Premier League 41% of the time this season and as a result the fans want to see their £54m-rated winger given a run out at the Kassam Stadium.
When asked to comment their preferred starting eleven all the replies included Mahrez’s name.

What do we think?
Manchester City have such great strength-in-depth, particularly in the forward areas and you could make a strong case against any of them being benched, however Riyad Mahrez divides opinion like no other.
The former Leicester City man has been in and out of the side ever since he arrived at the Etihad Stadium and as a result, he’s been unable to find anything like the rhythm and consistency he showed with the Foxes.
With the Cityzen’s still competing on multiple fronts, every player will need to play their part and the Carabao Cup would be another stage upon which Mahrez can prove his worth to Pep Guardiola and his staff.
