Manchester City have been drawn against League Two side Port Vale in the FA Cup Third Round. The Valiants, managed by John Askey, will make the trip to the Etihad Stadium during the first weekend of January.
Pep Guardiola’s side are the current holders of the famous old trophy having thrashed Watford 6-0 in last season’s final but these supporters aren’t entirely sure their favourable draw is down to luck alone.

What do we think?
The Cityzens have tasted FA Cup glory six times in their history with their first triumph coming in the 1903/04 season. At the start of the campaign, this particular competition would have likely been third in Guardiola’s priority list but as their Premier League title looks to be escaping them, perhaps we will see a shift in priorities as far as the Spaniard is concerned.
Port Vale currently occupy 9th place in League Two and therefore it’s a draw that should in theory secure safe passage through to the fourth round for the holders and a fixture in which the second-string should have enough.
