According to a report in the Times, Manchester City will target Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu as a long-term replacement for Vincent Kompany. Pep Guardiola’s side have been rocked by the injury to Aymeric Laporte and their failure to replace their former captain who departed for Anderlecht in the summer.
As a result of their poor defensive displays, the Champions find themselves in third place, eleven points off of the league leaders Liverpool.
How do the supporters feel regarding the reports Soyuncu is the clubs number one target?
Is Caglar Soyuncu the answer to Man City's defensive troubles?
Yes
No
Should go for Koulibaly instead and have Garcia and Stones as backups

What do we think?
Caglar Soyuncu has been one of a number of standout performers in Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City squad this season and is understandably being linked with some of the countries biggest clubs. At 23-years-old, the Turkish international appears to have a bright future ahead of him but it remains to be seen whether or not City would be willing to accept the premium they will no doubt be required to pay in order to prise away a Premier League player.
The report in the Times suggests that Guardiola is increasingly likely to remain at the Etihad Stadium in order to oversee the redevelopment of the squad in which case Soyuncu could play a part. He’s technically sound as well as being imposing physically – something City have, arguably, missed since the departure of Kompany.
It’s an area in which there is no question the Cityzen’s must strengthen however an equally as competent, cheaper option could be available from the continent so it’s totally dependant on what kind of fee Leicester City would command for their defender and whether or not the Champions are willing to match that.
