Manchester City winger Jack Harrison, currently on loan at Leeds United would cost the West Yorkshire club in the region £10m if they were to take up their option to sign him permanently.

Leeds re-signed Harrison for a second season-long loan spell in the summer and it’s understood they can make the deal permanent if they so wish at the end of this current campaign.

Phil Hay of the Athletic has predicted via Twitter that £10m would be enough to persuade City to part-company with the 23-year-old. He also confirmed that the player’s contract at the Etihad Stadium still has until 2022 to run which will have some impact on the figure they demand.

TIF Tactics – How has Harrison fared in the Championship?

The winger has started 100% of Leeds United’s Championship games this season to date scoring four goals in the process versus Reading, Blackburn Rovers, QPR and Bristol City. Harrison has already matched his goal tally of the previous campaign and there is a general feeling that he has progressed remarkably well during the first half of his second season at Elland Road.

Not only has he been in improved form in front of goal, but he has also provided his team-mates with an impressive five assists so far this season, therefore, you can understand why supporters of the club are keen to know what their chances are of signing him on a permanent basis.

Despite an impressive season thus far in the famous all-white of Leeds United, it’s unlikely Harrison will be able to break into this current Manchester City side and, therefore on that basis, receiving £10m for the player valued at just £3.6m on Transfermarkt.co.uk seems like great business for the Etihad outfit to do. The question is, will Leeds United see it that way?
