These Liverpool fans were disappointed with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s performance against Flamengo in the FIFA Club World Cup Final.
Out of all the Liverpool players that started the match, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had the lowest post-match WhoScored rating of 6.4/10. The 26-year-old could also only maintain a pass completion rate of 76%, which is the exact same percentage as Alisson Becker.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans had to say about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s poor performance:
Ox Has been useless tbh. What is this.

Because we have no midfield. Hendo is going his job deep but OX and Keita are in it at all. Keita doing better when he actually gets on the ball but his has to play both ways not one way. Gini or Milner needed.

Ox not in the game at all
— Nick (@NICKEIR) December 21, 2019
Oxlade-Chamberlain has produced the worst hour of football in a Liverpool shirt for a decade. And that includes Karius in the Champions’ League final. Absolutely atrocious.

I think chamberlain is finished at this level unfortunately

Is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the worst Liverpool midfielder?
Yes
No
Despite Oxlade-Chamberlain’s poor outing, Liverpool still managed to walk away with a 1-0 victory over the Brazilian giants Flamengo.
Ox playing dreadful

What Do We Think?
So far this season, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has managed to maintain an amazing UEFA Champions League average Whoscored rating of 7.95/10, however, when looking at the same statistic for his current Premier League form it’s not as impressive, with the 26-year-old only averaging a rating of 6.58/10 in the league.
Perhaps this was just an off-day for the English midfielder; we are certain that if the 26-year-old can start to transfer some of his European form to the Premier League, he could quickly emerge as one of Liverpool’s top talents.
