These Liverpool fans believe RB Salzburg’s Takumi Minamino could be the missing piece of the puzzle for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Minamino must have impressed these fans when the 24-year-old played against them in RB Salzburg’s UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool, a game his side lost 2-0. The Japanese midfielder has scored two goals in the Champions League and five in the T-Mobile Bundesliga in Austria, where he plays alongside highly rated Erling Haaland.
Here are some of the fans who were calling for Jurgen Klopp to swoop in on Minamino:
Liverpool better sign Minamino

Liverpool need to cut out the RB Leipzig and Southampton middle men and sign Minamino now.

Klopp said he wants to sign an Attacker in January. Today was a great scouting opportunity. No complaints if he went for Minamino. Could be an understudy for our Front 3. #LFC #Liverpool #SALLIV https://t.co/0ns6n1TuuJ

Minamino looks sharper than Salah with a good heart guys
— Destiny (@Dezoabc) December 11, 2019
One fan even called him a Roberto Firmino/Son Heung-Min type player, which is rather accurate as all three men use quick feet and look to create in the final third, as well as having the ability to find the back of the net.
He looks boss doesn’t he. Like a Firmino/Son type.

He looks absolutely incredible, could be a good Bobby backup and can play midfield too
— George (@HeavyMetalFtbl) December 11, 2019
Would you rather sign Minamino or Haaland?
Haaland
Minamino
Despite failing to score or assist against Liverpool, Miniamino must have still impressed these fans with his technical ability and speed. Whoscored rated his performance 6.6/10, that’s about average for a 2-0 loss.
I’m officially sold. Takumi Minamino is the next Salzburg player Liverpool need to sign. #LFC

@LFC please sign this dude Takumi Minamino what a decent player he is.Sort of firmino esque style of play intelligent movement, relentless work rate and vision. He is also a silk user of the ball . Top top baller pic.twitter.com/hJJu4twCuM

What Do We Think?
With Takumi Minamino’s Transfermarkt value being just £4.5m, this could be an absolute steal for Liverpool and he is a player who could be very useful as a back up for Roberto Firmino, due to playing in a similar role. Whether Klopp sees the Japan international fitting into the plans he has for his Anfield outfit, though, remain to be seen, whilst Salzburg are unlikely going to roll over should the Reds look to take him off their hands.
