Liverpool fans are urging the club to sign 22-year-old Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
So far this season, Martinez has scored eight goals and assisted once in Italy’s Serie A, however, even more impressively, the 22-year-old Argentine striker has managed to score five goals in just six UEFA Champions League matches.
However he did fail to score against Barcelona last time out, leaving Inter Milan to play in the UEFA Europa League for the rest of the season, this is a competition they would be expecting to at least reach the late stages in.
This is what the Liverpool fans had to say about Martinez joining the Merseyside club, with one alluding to the idea that his performances remind him of Mohamed Salah’s style of play:
How much would Lautaro Martinez cost in today’s market? Absolute baller.

One Liverpool fan even got excited and stated that if he’s anything like former Anfield star Luis Suarez then he could turn out to be a hit on Merseyside.
Rather than Mbappe, Liverpool should looking at Lautaro Martinez. If he’s anything like Suarez, he’d be perfect for Klopp.

Martinez, who is valued by Transfermarkt at £36m, has been in great form, however it also appears some of the attributes he has within his game have caught the eye of one fan in particular
Hes way up there hes got literally everything.. Pace, strength, great hold up play and can score almost any goal

What Do We Think?
Martinez has been around for a while now, despite still being only 22-years-old, and is clearly making a name for himself in Italy and European competition. Playing in the Serie A always makes it difficult to tell how good a player really is, but scoring five times in six UEFA Champions League matches can’t go unnoticed, especially when you consider the group consisted of Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Salvia Prague.
Inter are hardly going to want to let go of him easily, so it could cost Liverpool a fortune to prise him away, although he could be a brilliant addition if Klopp were to bring him to Anfield.
