These Liverpool fans have been enjoying footage of RB Salzburg midfielder Takumi Minamino, a player the Merseyside club are being heavily linked with signing.
Minamino is a five-time Austrian league champion and has also won the Austrian league cup four times, so the 24-year-old is no stranger to silverware since joining RB Salzburg in 2015 from Japanese club Cerezo Osaka.
He’s also proved himself as a solid player in his international appearances for Japan, scoring 11 goals in 22 games for his country. The 24-year-old’s UEFA Champions League appearances are what appears to have caught everyone’s attention, with the Japanese international scoring two goals and even more impressively getting three assists in just six matches.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans had to say about the footage:

Will Minamino join in January?
Yes
No
Minamino’s main position so far this season has been right-wing, so the 24-year-old may have to compete with Mohamed Salah for a place in the team.
The possibilities of squad rotation when this guy comes in man https://t.co/61GR7KwRcr

What Do We Think?
It’s looking more and more likely that Minamino will be joining Liverpool. With a release clause of just £7.25m, the 24-year-old is an absolute steal considering how talented he’s proved himself to be. Indeed, the Merseyside club should get this deal done no matter what the cost, as he would be a highly useful rotation player – perhaps a bit like how Xherdan Shaqiri is being used right now.
