These Liverpool fans have been getting excited over the prospect of signing RB Salzburg’s Takumi Minamino.
Minamino has been on fire in the UEFA Champions League, scoring twice and assisting three times, the 24-year-old also recently scored for his national team Japan, in their 2-0 win over Kyrgyzstan. According to Transfermarkt, Minamino has is estimated to be valued at just £7.25m, making the 24-year-old an absolute steal in today’s market, as James Pearce mentioned a release clause of the same value was in the Asian star’s contract.
Heres what the Liverpool fans had to say about the potential deal:
Understand it’s highly likely that Minamino joins Liverpool in January. Expect it to happen. Exciting deal. #LFC

WOW!!!! Minamino with a release clause of £7.25m & Timo Werner has a release clause of £27.5m!!! Would be brilliant if Klopp could sign both players to help boost our attacking options in the new year

Is Minamino better than Harry Wilson?
Yes
No
It’s clear that these fans definitely want this deal to happen, it’ll be interesting to see how he found fit in at Anfield, perhaps he would just be a bench player? As we can’t see Minamino pushing out any of the front three.
He’s been excellent in both games against us finds space very clever player

But Minamino for £7.25m. Sell Harry Wilson for £20m. An upgrade for less

What Do We Think?
At such a cheap price, it wouldn’t surprise us if nearly every major team in Europe is eyeing up Miniamino. However, Liverpool being such a huge team probably have the advantage over everyone, currently leading the way in the Premier League will likely help too. We would definitely get this deal done, it’s now just down to whether Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool can get this over the line.
