Leicester City’s emphatic victory at Villa Park on Sunday has opened up a six-point gap between themselves and the current Premier League champions Manchester City.
The club’s impressive run continues and although Jamie Vardy continues to steal the headlines the entire team are performing at a consistently high-level none more so than their summer signing Ricardo Pereira.
The defender, who is valued at £27 million (Transfermarkt), took to social media to express his joy at Leicester’s eighth successive league victory – setting a new club record and these fans took the opportunity to shower the 26-year-old with praise.
Is Ricardo Pereira the best right-back in the Premier League?

What do we think?
Ricardo Pereira joined the Foxes from Porto in the summer for just shy of £20m (according to Transfermarkt.co.uk) and the more we see of the Portuguese international the more inclined we are to say he has been one of the signings of the season.
It’s evident he’s already formed a strong bond with his team-mates, in particular, Jonny Evans who managed to get himself on the scoresheet at the weekend. Brendan Rodgers’ side boasts the best defensive record in the division and Ricardo has been a huge contributor to this impressive statistic.
