A report from Football Insider claims that Jack Clarke is attracting interest from numerous Championship and Premier League clubs.

Leeds fully expect Clarke to be recalled by Tottenham in January after the 19-year-old has only played 134 minutes of first-team football this year.

Interestingly, Clarke is in line to head to Spurs before going out on loan to a new club for the second half of the campaign.

This could, however, mean that he ends up at a promotion rival by the end of January.

Spurs plan for Clarke

Tottenham want to bring the 19-year-old, who is valued at £5.4m by Transfermarkt, back from his unsuccessful loan with Leeds and then loan him back out – so that he can get some game time in either the Championship or the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest are just one of several interested in signing Clarke, who made a stunning impression on his debut season.

However, Marcelo Bielsa has preferred other options over the Leeds academy product, and he could yet cause the Whites some problems in their bid for promotion.

If he were to join someone like Nottingham Forest, then he could provide that extra spark that would be needed to push for the automatic promotion spots and in the process, threaten Leeds’ hopes.

Clarke has had an awful time at Elland Road this season, and it is best for all parties that he is sent somewhere else where he can continue to develop as a footballer.

The writing appears to be on the wall, with Leeds already expected him to leave the club in January.
