Everton supporters have expressed that they want to see the Toffees’ Icelandic midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson, sold by the club.
Following a string of under-par performances in recent weeks, the 30-year-old’s poor form culminated in a 3/10 rating during the 5-2 defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby (as per Liverpool Echo).
With supporters running out of patience for the former Swansea City man, many felt that it was time to move on from Goodison Park.
Time to get rid of Gylfi in the summer.

Delighted when we splashed the cash on him, and thought he did good/OK for a couple of seasons….but the last 10 months he hast lost form on a staggering level. Have lost the faith in him just now.

Should Everton sell Gylfi Sigurdsson at the soonest possible opportunity?Yes, he's finishedNo, he still offers |
So far this term the Icelandic international has featured in 17 games for the Toffees, bagging two goals and assisting one (as per Transfermarkt).
Over his two-and-a-half years in Merseyside, Sigurdsson, who is valued at £31.5 million (Transfermarkt), has bagged a respectable 22 goals and 13 assists in 91 appearances for the Goodison Park club (via Transfermarkt).
Despite his respectable return, his recent form has seen many supporters turn on the 30-year-old and with many having had enough of the Icelandic, they felt it was time to move on as soon as possible.

What do we think?
While the Everton team have been collectively turning in poor performances, the midfielder has stood out as one of the poorest of the bunch, with only a 6.61/10 average rating in the Premier League (per Whoscored).
At 30 years of age, it is likely that if they have not already, Sigurdsson’s abilities will begin to decline in the near future and it may be best for all involved if he begins with a clean slate elsewhere.
