Everton supporters are furious with Darren Lewis’ take on the Toffees’ impending appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the club’s new manager.
On Thursday night, an interview with the Daily Mirror journalist and pundit was posted to talkSPORT’s Twitter account in which Lewis explained the 60-year-old Italian was not the ideal appointment and it should have been Duncan Ferguson (as per talkSPORT).
With Everton supporters believing that Ancelotti is set to be the best thing since sliced bread, they were furious over what they perceived to be a wrong opinion.
“For me, the right man for the job would’ve been Duncan Ferguson.”
“Ancelotti is used to working with top players & getting them to the top level… Everton aren’t there yet.”

Milan hadn’t won the league for 3 years and were struggling domestically and in Europe. PSG were a shambles and hadn’t won the French league for 19 years. He completely changed the fortunes of those 2 clubs.

Would you rather see Everton appoint Carlo Ancelotti or Duncan Ferguson?Duncan FergusonCarlo Ancelotti |
It is believed that Ancelotti is set to be appointed as the club’s next manager in the coming days, with Ferguson having his last game in charge against Arsenal on Saturday (as per BBC).
With the arrival looking all but set in stone, Everton fans were frustrated to hear cold water being poured on what looks a fantastic appointment on the face of it.

Utter rubbish

Shocking. A kopite doesn’t want Everton to try and better themselves. I mean why should Everton try and get a top manager, I mean who do they think they are. After all they are only Everton.

What do we think?
While there are some doubts surrounding Ancelotti’s appointment, he is still a world-class manager and regardless of how it turns out he is still the right appointment for the Toffees at the moment.
While Duncan Ferguson has done fantastically well over the three games he has already had in charge, there is only so far that caretaker manager motivation can take you.
