Everton supporters have fumed that David Moyes has been touted as the club’s next manager, having been rumoured to enter on a short-term basis.
According to the Telegraph, the club is considering the Scotsman on a short-term deal until the end of the season with a view to appointing a more long-term manager next summer (via The Gwladys Street).
With Everton fans having believed that rumours of Moyes’ return had been put to bed, they were furious to see that the 56-year-old was back in the frame to move back to Goodison Park.

This doesn’t make any sense lol

How does that even work? What does that mean? Why would Ancelotti just wait for Moyes to be done?!

Moyes will most certainly get us relegated so he can keep the job long term.

Would you take David Moyes for the short term if it meant Carlo Ancelotti in the long term?Yes, it would be worth itNo, not in any circumstance |
The 56-year-old manager had been linked with a move back to Everton around a week ago, however, despite talks, the interest was cooled and the club had looked to have moved on (via the Express).
However, with the latest reports suggesting that the Scotsman is back on the club’s radar over their desire to appoint Carlo Ancelotti eventually (via BBC), Everton supporters were clear in their message.
Don’t want moyes nowhere near the club

Leave Ferguson in charge for a few more games. This makes sense. He gave us our best performance in years….

What do we think?
It seems absolutely 100% certain, Everton fans are desperate for anyone other than David Moyes to be appointed as the club’s next manager, even in the short term.
The Toffees need a new manager that will inspire passion and belief at Goodison Park and it seems as though the Scotsman just is not that, no matter what the long-term plan is.
