Supporters of Everton have aired their delight that Unai Emery had reportedly rejected a move to Goodison Park.
According to Marca, as cited by Daily Mail, the Spaniard snubbed the hot seat with the Toffees which had Everton supporters delighted that he would not be their next manager (via Liverpool Echo, Live blog, 13:56, 16/12/2019).

Rumours began to swirl of Emery making the move up North following his sacking by Arsenal following a Europa League defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt (as per BBC), however, supporters were keen for the Spaniard to stay well clear of Goodison Park.

What do we think?
Following the Toffees’ club statement on Monday night (per Everton), it seems unlikely that Emery was every properly offered a contract so this story would have been no more than knocking back an approach to talk at best.
Of course, Emery didn’t exactly make a name for himself at the Emirates as he managed to secure just 1.85 points per game and failed to deliver Champions League football.
