Everton supporters have shown their backing for Marco Silva ahead of the Merseyside derby following his pre-match press conference.
During the press conference, the 42-year-old Portuguese gaffer called for unity ahead of the clash and outlined his hopes from the team for the game with the Reds (as per Everton).
Despite the Goodison Park faithful almost whole-heartedly wanting to see Silva be relieved of his duties, they rallied behind their man.
| MS: “We must go there and embrace the challenge with big courage, like we did last season. We haven’t won there for a long time – it’s a great opportunity for us to change that. It can have a very good impact.” #LIVEVEhttps://t.co/D0zmQDk4Pw

I know we want him gone and it’s been said so many times, but let’s just get behind the lads for tomorrow’s derby and show our support.

Can Marco Silva rescue the situation with Everton?Yes, he's capableNo, not a chance |
Pressure had looked to reach an intolerable level for Silva following the club’s latest defeat against Leicester City, with the manager appearing to be in the lurch (as per The Telegraph).
However, such is the desire to get one over their noisy neighbours in the blue half of Merseyside, they have backed the manager they have been angling to get sacked.
As long as Marco is still saying “WE”…. I have to back him and have faith.
He’s STILL our manager. #COYB— Mr Cee Tattoo © (@MrCeeTattoo) December 3, 2019

What do we think?
To win in the Merseyside derby seems an incredibly tall order for Marco Silva, and the situation will look perilous for him should they be beaten.
However, it is a fantastic opportunity to get momentum and to do so all associated with the club must believe that it is possible.
