Fans of Everton have slated Michael Keane following the Toffees’ 5-2 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.
The English defender, who is valued at £27 million (as per Transfermarkt), was able to bag a first-half goal, however, was part of a defence which shipped five goals at the opposite end of the pitch (as per BBC).
Despite managing to bag for Marco Silva’s side, which pulled the Goodison Park club back in with a shout following two early goals, many outlined the defender for criticism amongst other candidates.

With pressure on Silva looking relentless (as per Daily Mail), many fans were keen to not let their 26-year-old defender get away without his fair share of the blame.

Michael Keane is the worst player I’ve ever seen at Everton. The combination of lack of heart and ability is beyond belief for a professional footballer

What do we think?
Without wanting to point the finger too much, due to their being many poor performances for the Toffees on Wednesday night, Keane certainly did not have a good game.
Despite his goal, the English defender picked up a 4/10 rating for his performance (as per Liverpool Echo) – which still was not the worst of the evening.
