Fans of Everton have reacted to a transfer link between the Toffees and Real Madrid midfielder, James Rodriguez.
According to El Desmarque, as cited by Sport Witness, Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the 28-year-old Colombian and the Merseyside club are preparing a €50-million bid (£42.6m) for his signature (via Everton News Feed).
With supporters in disbelief over the link to the £36-million rated world-class talent, they were delighted with the calibre of player that the club was being linked with.

Would James Rodriguez be a worthwhile signing for the Toffees?Yes, he's world classNo, waste of money |
During this season, the midfielder has featured in nine games for the La Liga giant, in which he has bagged just one goal and one assist (as per Transfermarkt).
He is a genuine World class player but my only concern is hes a bit injury prone.

What do we think?
Even if there is some truth to the rumour, which could be likely due his lack of use at the Santiago Bernabeu so far this term, there appear to be some question marks still hanging over his head.
However, Rodriguez is by no means past it at 28 and still has the potential to be regarded as a world-class talent, but there is a feeling that the transfer fee and wages could be better spent elsewhere.
