Some Everton supporters have reacted to an article from the Telegraph that states Farhad Moshiri is in control of recruiting Silva’s successor.
In the past couple of days, the Scotsman has reemerged as a potential candidate to replace Marco Silva at Goodison Park, however, only on a short-term basis with a view to a longer-term gaffer in the summer (per BBC).
It’s safe to say that the link has caused some unrest amongst the Goodison Park faithful.
Moyes short term would probably satisfy Brands who wants to wait till summer when names like Ten Hag and potentially other good fits for the role will be available. The fact Moshiri is in control of search is frightening pic.twitter.com/nlnlKuzseU

Sounds like a control freak more and more we hear about him

Not all fits for the role work though. Mourinho doesn’t fit at Spurs on paper but he’s started well and he’s only been brought in by Levy because of his CV.
I’m in the Gallardo camp but I also think Ancelotti could work if he buys into it. Brands should be leading search.

What’s the point of a Director of Football if you won’t let him make these decisions? If he gets to piece together the ship, then surely he should choose the captain.

Man, Moshiri is the worst we could’ve hoped for in a majority owner. Too meddlesome.

Very frightening, completely defeating the object of Brands. He got involved with the purchase of Tosun too didn’t he, I remember him doing an interview back then saying how he watched Tosun score a few against someone and he was the best thing since sliced bread. Bill mark 2

I thought a board an a dof was the point of not letting this clown do stuff on his own he’s just overruling people to satisfy himself

Should Marcel Brands be the sole decider of who is to be Everton's next manager?Yes, it's literally his jobNo, it needs to be collective |
However, despite whole-heartedly agreeing that Brand should be allowed to chose the man that he believes will stand the club in the best stead, fans were clear in their message on Moyes.
Why hasn’t Moyes already been bought in then if we are Seriously Considering bringing him back to the club on a short term basis

I suspect Moshiri had to take control because of BK. And until I see Moyes in the dug out, I refuse to believe this to be true. Moyes is a very backward step.

Why in the world would Moyes come in for six months when Big Dunc could likely do just as good a job for the rest of the season?
Fans won’t stand for a Moyes return. Would likely do irreparable damage to relationship between club and supporters

What do we think?
Even if Moyes would suit Brands as a stop-gap manager until someone better came along, it is absolutely clear that Everton supporters do not want that and it is doubtful if the Scotsman does either.
