Everton supporters have shown their delight with a reported link between the club and another potential heir for Marco Silva, Diego Simeone.
According to Marca (via Sport Witness), there is a ‘divorce on the horizon’ for the Argentine and Atletico Madrid, meaning Everton could swoop for him to replace Silva (via The Gwladys Street).
With supporters desperate for the club’s Portuguese manager to be replaced (per Liverpool Echo), many could not believe their luck being linked with Simeone.

Would Everton ever have a chance of appointing Diego Simeone as manager? No, not in a million yearsYes, we're still a big club |
The 49-year-old Argentine has been at the helm of the Madrid club since December 2011 and has overseen 449 matches, picking up a points per game total of 2.04 (as per Transfermarkt).
However, with his departure from Spain seemingly impending (via Sport Witness) and Everton fans delighted over the link, some felt that it would only ever be a pipe dream at most.
Some statement if we managed to pull this off! Can’t see it happening though

What do we think?
As much as Simeone to Everton would be the stuff of dreams it is probably just that, with the Toffees more than likely too far to stoop for the Argentine, unfortunately. Indeed, Simeone has enjoyed European football on a consistent basis during his time in Spain, so it’s highly unlikely he would be willing to take the step down.
