Supporters of Everton have aired that they are delighted that Duncan Ferguson is set to take charge for a second game as interim manager.
On Wednesday evening, the club announced that the Scotsman would remain at the helm for the Toffees’ trip to Old Trafford in the Premier League this weekend (as per Everton).
With the squad having looked to have a swagger about it not seen by the Goodison Park faithful for a long time under Marco Silva, they were delighted that the former striker would be around for an extra game.

110% the right choice. For me approach Ancelotti for long term and if he says no, Ferguson for the remainder of the season. Don’t bother with Moyes short term. Loved Moyes when he was there but that boat has sailed, what does he bring that Dunc doesn’t. Then re-review Summer

Would you be pleased if Duncan Ferguson was appointed until the end of December?Yes, gives time for the right appointmentNo, we need someone in as soon as possible |
The former Toffees attacker featured in 11 seasons at Goodison Park between 1995 and 2006, over which time he managed to bag 65 goals and one assist in 253 appearances for the Merseyside club (as per Transfermarkt).
In the club’s remarkable 3-1 victory over Chelsea, Ferguson’s sole game in charge, as desire was reignited which brought all of the club’s supporters on the side of the Scotsman (per BBC).
What do we think?
As one fan mentioned, it is incredibly important that the Toffees hierarchy get this right – so rushing into any decision is not the way to go.
The fans seem infatuated with Ferguson and it is win-win for Farhad Moshiri and co. as, if they beat the Red Devils, Ferguson is still the hero and if they lose, people still respect the Scotsman and time has been bought to find the right man for the job.
