Everton supporters launched a barrage of criticism on Marco Silva following the Toffees’ 2-1 victory over Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
Due to Carlo Ancelotti picking up two wins in his first two games and Duncan Ferguson’s four-game unbeaten run while in temporary charge of the club (per Sky Sports), fans slated the Portuguese manager for not getting the best out of the squad.
Shows how bad Marco Silva was really Dunc and Ancelotti had them for a couple of weeks total and they have got more out of this talented squad than a Manager who had 18 months with most of them

He was well out of his depth it was there for all to see. He didn’t know how to change things up when we were under the cosh. Ancelloti did just that today. The players will only grow in confidence working under him.

Total fraud – look a different side now. Don’t look like collapsing every time we concede

Were the players no longer playing for Marco Silva at the end of his era?Yes, he had lost the dressing roomNo, he just wasn't good enough |
Over 61 games as manager of the Toffees, Silva picked up a weak 1.41 points per game average (per Transfermarkt), which ultimately resulted in his sacking (per BBC).
In the six games following the 42-year-old’s departure, the Merseyside club has looked a different team, which Everton fans laid the blame for at Silva’s door.
Night and day the difference !

Job was far too big for him

Ancelotti / Duncan eclipse Silva both tactically and emotionally. And the I agree 100% and have been voicing it since last December. Well in Carlo.

He was going nowhere fast mate, I said months ago the manager wasn’t capable of turning things around short or long term. Nice guy and all that, but not the man to take us forward.

What do we think?
As one supporter mentioned, the Silva era seems night and day away from the six games under Ferguson and Ancelotti.
The players seem to be playing much closer to their full potential and delivering positive results on a regular basis, long may that continue.
