Fans of Everton have poured cold water over a report on four potential managerial targets that the Toffees are angling for.
According to the Daily Express, Mikel Arteta, Marcello Gallardo, Diego Simeone and Ajax’s Erik ten Haag are all of potential interest to the Everton hierarchy (via The Gwladys Street).
While all Everton supporters were in full agreement that any of those would be a fantastic appointment, they were in disbelief that any would be attainable.

Don’t think we will get any of them! The way we treated Silva today. Disgusting in my opinion. Who in their right mind would want to manage us?

Would any of the four linked managers be likely potential candidates to take the Everton hot seat?Yes, we have strong pulling powerNo, not a chance of getting them |
The Toffees currently sit 18th in the Premier League table, in the relegation zone by a point and having won only four games in 15 league outings this season (via BBC).
Despite the star-studded list being wafted under the noses of the Goodison Park faithful, supporters listed candidates who they felt were more likely to be appointed following the link to the likes of ten Haag and Simeone.

What do we think?
While the likes of the above-mentioned names would be an incredible capture for the Toffees, ten Haag to leave Ajax for 18th in the Premier League? No.
Arteta to ditch working with Pep Guardiola? No. Simeone to switch sunny Spain for the murky Mersey? No. While Gallardo could be possible, it is not at all probable, unfortunately.
