Everton supporters have expressed that they do not want to see Vitor Pereira appointed as Marco Silva’s successor at Goodison Park.
The 51-year-old Portuguese gaffer has been linked with the vacant hot seat in the blue half of Merseyside following the sacking of Silva on Thursday evening (as per Sky Sports).
With Everton supporters desperate for the Shanghai SIPG manager not to be appointed by the Toffees, they took to social media to air their dissatisfaction over the link.

Would Vitor Pereira be a good appointment for the Toffees to replace Marco Silva?Yes, he has good experienceNo, we need someone else |
The 51-year-old manager has a relatively respectable managerial record behind him, with eight pieces of silverware, having won trophies with Porto, Olympiacos and his current club in Shanghai (as per Transfermarkt).
Despite also having a record of 2.1 points per match on average across 88 games in China (per Transfermarkt), fans were desperate not to see the Portuguese manager appointed.
Really, think I’d rather have Moyes

I actually despise our club

Is this a windup Alan? He’s an absolute nobody and his past career is a mess. Won the league with Porto two years in a row then decided to join Al Alhi? Then seemed to become a nomad and do a season before moving on. Would be a bizarre choice.

What do we think?
Everton fans will need to strap themselves in for what will be at least a week of feeling like being linked with every conceivable manager under the sun.
While Pereira’s record is by no means poor, he may not be the right man to lead the club forward with a long-term goal and structure implemented.
