On Monday night, Crystal Palace drew with Brighton 1-1 in a close game. Roy Hodgson’s men would have been hoping to walk away with all three points but had to settle for just one. Despite going and a goal down after Neal Maupay scored in the 54th minute, Wilfried Zaha tied the game up in the 79th (BBC).
After the game, Palace striker Christian Benteke praised the team’s fighting spirit, despite not putting in the greatest of performances. He applauded his teammate’s goal in the process. Fans were quick to show their support for Benteke himself and suggested that it is only a matter of time before he ends his goal drought.
Keep it up! The hard work will pay off #cpfc

Do you think Benteke will score against Newcastle?
Yes
No
Some fans are confident that the Belgian can score a goal when the Eagles take on Newcastle next weekend.

Looked sharp out there last night, especially the second half. Play like that on Saturday and the drought will be over…

What do we think?
It is never easy for a striker who is in the middle of a goal drought. If he can score against the Geordies next Saturday, it will be a huge relief for him and the fans.
