This weekend, Crystal Palace dropped points to Newcastle after losing 1-0 in the Premier League. Supporters will be frustrated with the result after a relatively strong start to the month, winning against Burnley and Bournemouth. This came off the back of a difficult string of games against Manchester City, Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool. The club then dropped points to Watford and Brighton before facing Newcastle (WhoScored.com).
The fans needed a result if they wanted to continue pushing for a spot in the top five that is still there for many teams to take (Sky Sports). But sadly for fans, the team was unable to hold out for anything. After the match, James McCarthy spoke in an interview.
“On another day we could’ve scored two or three but their keeper has made a couple of good saves. They had one chance and scored,” said McCarthy.
Fans were critical of McCarthy’s comments, suggesting that the team are incapable of putting multiple goals past their opponents.
McCarthy must have been around us long enough to know that scoring 2 or 3 goals is extremely unlikely to happen

Isn’t that a carbon copy of what happened 2 (maybe 3) years ago?

Are Crystal Palace capable of scoring more than two goals in a game?
No
Yes
One fan blamed McCarthy for the goal, while another suggests Roy Hodgson’s time is running out.
How bout u pick up your man and not leave him open on the penalty spot to score a pretty much open goal

Don’t want to say it but the West Ham game is do or https://t.co/zCubWbmkdm’s not all Roy’s fault.Injuries and a thread bare squad haven’t helped.Steve Parish needs to take some of the blame.

What do we think?
It is clear that Crystal Palace fans are discontent with the way the club is performing. The manager, and the players, must begin to find results.
