Some Portsmouth fans can’t believe that manager Kenny Jackett is one of the nominations for the League One Manager of the Month award this time around (as per the EFL).
The club from the South of the country has its manager as one of the names for the accolade in November. Apart from Jackett, Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth, Bristol Rovers manager Graham Coughlan and Paul Warne of Rotherham are also in the running for the award later this month.
Portsmouth fans: Does Jackett deserve the MOTM award?
He's done enough for it!
He should leave
Jackett’s men are currently tenth in the table, only one point behind Fleetwood and two points behind Rotherham.

The goals situation isn’t good, 11 scored and 4 conceded, not a good ratio for my liking. Not enough clean sheets.

In terms of results, yes he should win it.
In terms of performances? Not at all.

Football has been dreadful, performances not brilliant, and players out of position. Dont see how it’s been “turned around” because we haven’t lost and won a few.

Fair play to him but I dont see a future in his football.

Jackett was believed to be under pressure to perform in the before a recent impressive run of games came in over the last few weeks.
Pompey have won three of their last five games, drawing two of them. But Jackett’s men have not lost a single game since the 19th of November when AFC Wimbledon beat them 1-0 away from home. Since then, they have not lost a single game in seven.
Before this run, the club had won just two of their nine games. Three of them were losses and the rest of them were drawn. Currently, the club has lost just four games in the League One. Apart from AFC Wimbledon, they had lost to Wycombe, Shrewsbury and Sunderland too.
What do we think?
Jackett has done very well to turn things around. Even though every performance hasn’t been as good as the fans would have liked, being unbeaten in as many as nine games is no child’s play for any side. This run has given them a chance of possibly seeking promotion and he deserves credit for that.
