West Bromwich Albion fans do not appear to be convinced as to whether Hal Robson-Kanu should start the next game for the club.
The 30-year-old converted a penalty six minutes after coming on for the Baggies in their 0-2 victory over Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Monday night.
After the game, West Brom Fan TV took to Twitter stating he should start instead of Charlie Austin in Saturday’s trip to Hull City, but it seems that hype train has come to crawling halt, with many thinking the Welshman is more effective as a substitute.
Thoughts on tonight
– Sawyers was outstanding
– Diangana was the key to everything
– The fans were class
– HRK has to start next game
– Tony Pulis will be the next Stoke manager!

HRK can not start hes terrible starting . Way better coming off the bench . 3 Goals in 4 games off the bench says it all really

HRK should never be starting games this is proven!! He’s an impact player he is what he is! When he started against Leeds he was utter garbage! he’s like a different man when he starts games leave it as it is the manager knows best trust Slav!

HRK is a impact player at best and he is doing a great job doing so. When he starts he is ineffective.

I feel like if we start Kanu he will lose his impact like he’s class last 20-30 mins as he’s running at tired defenders which is where he dominates but still class atmosphere and great result UTFA ???

What do we think?
If Hal Robson-Kanu is more effective as an impact substitute at the moment, then there seems to be little reason to change things up. The issue is that Charlie Austin is not scoring regularly enough at the moment, but the Baggies are sitting pretty at the top of the table, so the current formula is clearly working, whilst the former Wales international has managed to register three goals in his nine Championship appearances (TransferMarkt).
