Next week Gillingham will host Sunderland in the return leg of their FA Cup fixture. Sunderland have a decent chance of progressing in the illustrious cup competition, with Gillingham only sitting 16th in the EFL League One (Sky Sports).
Sunderland announced to fans over Twitter how they could secure tickets to the game. The club explained to fans that tickets could be purchased at the gate. While one fan straight up refused to go, others claimed their club had strayed from it’s selfed proclaimed ‘caring’ self.

Can you remember when SAFC marketed themselves as the “Caring Club?” Three other words the players cannot be associated with is motivated, determined and focused So why should I be motivated, determined and focused to go to Kent on a Tuesday evening?

Others were perturbed by the news, assuming it meant they would get no loyalty point for the trip.
All the way to Gills on a Tuesday night, and you wont even get a Loyalty Point for it! @CWaters_SAFC

Shame you don’t get a loyalty point for this long journey

What do we think?
With the way the team have been playing recently, fans would probably be forgiven for not wanting to make the journey to Gillingham for this game. The supporters will be focused on their next league match where they will hope to inspire their team to a win.
