Rangers Youth were on the winning side of the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup quarter-final. The young Gers beat Wrexham 2-0 in a convincing performance.
During the match, Jamie Barjonas and Nathan Young-Coombes contributed to the scoreline to send the Welsh side out of the cup (Rangers). Graeme Murty’s team will progress to the semi-final of the competition and hope to eventually go all the way and lift some silverware.
Goalscorer Barjonas took to Twitter to celebrate the win. His tweet took aim at famous Wrexham fan, Bootlegger, who is known for his entertaining vignettes on Twitter. Borjonas tweeted out one of Bootleggers’ catchphrases after beating his team. Fans loved the banter.

What do we think?
While the captain may be unimpressed with Wrexham’s loss, Borjonas’ contribution showed his leadership, and therefore captaincy potential. Hopefully, for Rangers fans, he can lead Murty’s side to a win in the semis.
