Some Nottingham Forest fans can’t stop hailing goalkeeper Brice Samba and want the 25-year-old to sign a lifetime contract at the Championship club.

Samba, a Frenchman, has played 11 games in the league for Forest this season under Sabri Lamouchi. He has conceded just nine goals, keeping as many as four clean sheets during this time.

The former Caen goalkeeper has also played in the domestic cup this season for the club, appearing twice in the League Cup. Both of them have been clean sheets.

Some Forest fans are already praising the summer signing and want him to sign a lifetime contract already at the City Ground.

Samba joined Forest from Ligue 2 side Caen this past summer for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal. Before arriving, the goalkeeper had played in one Ligue 2 game for the club too, playing full 90 minutes of the game against Sochaux.

For Forest though, Samba did not play the first three games in the Championship. But since then, he has played every game for the side and has played every minute of the action in those outings.

A product of the Le Havre youth academy, Samba has also played at French giants Marseille. But he made only four first-team appearances for the club from Stade Velodrome.

Some Forest fans have also hailed the Congo-born man as the best goalkeeper they have had in recent times.

What do we think?

While Samba has been very good for Forest since arriving, it may be unfair to call him the best goalkeeper they have had in recent times. It is a short time period and with the games now set to come thick and fast, a lot can still change. If he keeps up his form for the remainder of the season, he will live up to the tag of being the best stopper at the club in recent years.
